to exist by Naomi Kawase
The Signature Pavilion “to exist” by Naomi Kawase reassembles abandoned rural school buildings into a contemplative architectural experience, where memory becomes the primary material. Through the careful relocation and reconstruction of these structures, the project transforms spaces once filled with everyday life into a setting for reflection, dialogue, and human connection. It stands as a quiet meditation on impermanence, showing how architecture can carry emotional continuity even as its function and context evolve.
